2. What is covered
2.1 Devices we sell. Every device is covered for 12 months from the date of sale shown on your invoice and your 48-point certificate, against hardware faults in normal use. That includes, without being limited to: display faults not caused by impact; a battery that fails or shuts the device down unexpectedly; charging port failure; speaker or microphone failure; camera failure; button, sensor or Face ID failure; and other internal hardware defects.
2.2 Repairs we perform. Every repair is covered for 12 months from the repair date shown on your invoice, on the part we fitted and the workmanship of the repair. The repair warranty does not extend to the rest of the phone.
2.3 Parts we replaced before selling you a device are covered on the same terms as the device, and are named on your certificate and invoice.
3. What is not covered
- Physical damage occurring after the sale or repair — cracked glass, cracked housing, bends, or damage from a drop or impact.
- Liquid damage occurring after the sale or repair. The device's liquid contact indicators are inspected and photographed by us beforehand, and that record forms part of your file.
- Any fault caused by a repair, opening, or part fitted by anyone other than WHOBROKIT afterwards.
- Gradual decline in battery health percentage, which is normal in every phone. A battery that fails is covered — see clause 8.
- Software problems, data loss, or issues arising from iOS updates, apps, or account settings.
- Apple ID or iCloud lockouts arising from your own account.
- Cosmetic marks, which are graded and photographed before sale.
- Loss or theft.
- Anything disclosed to you on your certificate, your invoice, or the listing before you bought.
4. What you received at sale
Every device is supplied with a 48-point test certificate recording its IMEI, grade, battery health, whether any part was replaced, the test date and a certificate number. The certificate records the device's condition at the moment of sale and is used to assess claims fairly. Keep it — the certificate number is how you claim.
5. How to make a claim
- Message us on WhatsApp or email with your certificate or invoice number, the device IMEI, and a description of the fault. The IMEI on the device must match our record.
- Get the device to us — drop-off, post, or arranged pickup. You cover the cost of getting it to us; we cover the repair and returning it to you.
- Back up your data, sign out of your Apple ID and turn off Find My before sending it. We cannot assess a device locked to your account, and we are not responsible for data left on a device.
6. How long it takes — our 12-day guarantee
6.1 We aim to resolve every claim within 6 business days.
6.2 If we have not repaired, replaced or refunded within 12 business days, you choose: an equivalent replacement, or a full refund of what you paid. You don't have to argue for it — at that point the choice is simply yours.
6.3 When the clock starts. Day one is the first business day after the device is physically in our hands — delivered to us, or received by a repairer we have approved for your claim. It is not the day you first messaged us.
6.4 When the clock pauses. The count stops on any day we are waiting on you — an Apple ID still signed in, a question we need answered, or an offer awaiting your decision — and restarts when resolved. We will message you on the day it pauses and the day it restarts.
6.5 Time in transit — postage to us, or freight to and from an overseas repairer — is not counted.
6.6 Until the 12 business days pass, the choice between repair, replacement and refund is ours. After that, it is yours under 6.2. None of this limits clause 11: where the Australian Consumer Law applies and the failure is a major failure, the choice between refund and replacement is yours from the start.
7. Loan phone
Where your device goes to a specialist technician, we will lend you a backup phone if one is available. We hold a small number of loan phones and cannot guarantee one is free at the time of your claim. A loan phone is a backup to keep you connected, not an equivalent replacement, and is issued under a short agreement.
8. Battery
Battery capacity declines with use in every phone. We warrant that the battery will function; we do not warrant that its health percentage will not fall. Every device we sell has a battery health of 80% or higher at sale, recorded on your certificate.
9. Warranty in Nepal and overseas
Your 12-month warranty stays valid if the phone goes overseas. Contact us with your certificate number and we will arrange assessment — either through a repairer we approve for your claim, or by returning the device to us in Australia at your cost. We are building a permanent repair partnership in Kathmandu; until it is in place we handle Nepal claims case by case, and we will tell you exactly what is happening before any work starts. Where an overseas repairer we approve receives your device, the 12-day guarantee runs from the day they receive it, and no work begins until we have approved it.
10. Transferring this warranty
If you sell or give the device to someone else during the warranty period, the remaining cover transfers with it, provided the certificate goes with the device and the IMEI matches. Message us with the certificate number and the new owner's name.
11. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
The following wording is required by law and must not be removed or altered:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Our services come with guarantees that they will be provided with due care and skill. This warranty is given in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies them.
12. Versions
The terms that apply to you are the terms in force on your purchase or repair date, shown on your invoice. Changes never apply backwards.
